The CNA Government Relations team is responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with various levels of government, including federal, provincial, and municipal authorities.
This includes serving as the industry’s voice in the policy-making process, including actively engaging with government officials, policymakers, and regulatory bodies to advocate for policies and regulations that support the growth, safety, and sustainability of the nuclear sector.
One of the team’s core functions is to provide expert advice and insights to government stakeholders. The team also monitors legislative and regulatory developments, staying informed on changes that may impact the industry in order to anticipate and proactively address challenges through advocacy and collaboration with government bodies.
George is seconded to the Canadian Nuclear Association from Ontario Power Generation.
