The 2020 CNA Regulatory and Environmental Affairs seminar will once again provide members an opportunity to hear updates from a number of key regulators including the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC), Environment Canada and the newly created Impact Assessment Agency. Additional details to come.
N.B. Registration is required for all seminars. Attendance at the pre-Conference seminars is first and foremost a benefit for employees of CNA member companies who are fully registered for CNA2020. As of January 15, 2020, the remaining seats in the seminars will be open to all other registration categories and/or unregistered conference participants wishing to attend, until the room capacity has been reached. In this workshop, you’ll learn what to expect from the new federal government and what communications messages and tactics will have the greatest impact on decisions affecting the nuclear sector. Additional details to come.

Small modular reactors (SMRs) are a clean energy option for Canada’s smaller provinces and northern territories. Our SMR session this year will focus on using SMRs for electricity in a smaller provincial system. How would the SMR option compare with the likely alternatives? What opportunities might it bring to the regional economy?

Suppliers already registered for the CNA2020 will have access to the Bruce Power Supplier Forum which will take place prior to the Conference opening reception. Suppliers not registered for CNA2020 can purchase a one-day registration package for $230 at the CNA2020 registration site. The one-day registration will provide access to the Bruce Power Supplier Forum, and the CNA2020 Opening Reception and Trade Show on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 only.
