Description:
EnergySolutions is a nuclear technology and services company with operations around the world. EnergySolutions Canada provides comprehensive, integrated services and solutions to the Canadian nuclear industry.  In 2011, we opened an impressive 130,000 sq ft CNSC licenced facility where we support refurbishment and decommissioning projects and meet fuel cycle and waste management challenges faced by our government and commercial customers.

Did you know:
Energy Solutions Canada has opened its new EnergySolutions Walker Operations (ESWO) facility in Brampton, ON.  This LLW management facility has been designed to support CANDU refurbishment needs, decommissioning projects and fuel cycle and waste management needs. Controlled Radiation Areas (CRAs) have been established for dedicated equipment inspection and refurbishment, special waste processing systems are being established and, on a case-by-case basis, waste may be processed by such means as solidification, drying or other processes.

On Deck for EnergySolutions:
Energy Solutions Canada will be supporting the Darlington RFR project by providing comprehensive waste volume reductions strategies. ESWO continues to be equipped with the latest decontamination equipment and will soon be able to receive larger components for management.  At ESWO, we will also be performing material monitoring to determine compliance with regulatory release criteria for unrestricted use.

Any last words?
With capacity to store more than 40,000 cu. m of equipment in sealands, crates or specialty boxes in a climate controlled environment, ESWO is providing the Canadian nuclear industry with options for decommissioning tooling and medium and large components previously not available.
