Bruce Power is Canada’s only private nuclear generating company and the source of roughly 25 per cent of Ontario’s electricity. Its Bruce A and B generating stations both house four CANDU reactors, each one capable of generating enough electricity to meet the daily needs of a city the size of Hamilton.

How was your 2011?
Bruce Power celebrated its 10^th anniversary in 2011. In ten short years, Bruce Power has returned Units 3 and 4 to service, transformed the future of the Bruce Power site by embarking on a full refurbishment of Units 1 and 2 and hired more than 2,600 new staff helping to revitalize the nuclear industry in Canada.

And looking forward to 2012?
In 2012, Units 1 and 2 at Bruce A will return to service and Bruce Power will become the world’s largest nuclear power facility.
