
Canadian Nuclear Association Welcomes George Christidis as New President and Chief Executive Officer

The Canadian Nuclear Association (CNA) is pleased to announce the appointment of George Christidis as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr Christidis has acted as Interim President and CEO since November 2024 following almost 15 years serving as CNA Vice President of Government Relations and International Affairs and Director of Federal Affairs for Ontario Power Generation.
“After a thorough search among many exceptional candidates, we are thrilled to welcome George – a respected leader who is known for his tireless advocacy on behalf of the Canadian nuclear sector,” said Julianne den Decker, Chair of the CNA Board of Directors. “The industry is enjoying a period of unprecedented growth and promise, and we are confident that George is the right leader to harness this momentum, ensuring nuclear energy remains the cornerstone of a reliable, sustainable, and innovative energy future.”
Mr Christidis has over 20 years of experience collaborating with federal, provincial, municipal, and international government stakeholders in diverse public and private sector roles. He has held key positions within the Canadian government, including serving as a policy advisor and former chief of staff for prominent ministers.
