Brett Plummer was appointed Vice President Nuclear and Chief Nuclear Officer at NB Power’s Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station (PLNGS) in November 2015. As a member of the Executive, he is accountable for leading the Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station’s strategic direction, has taken the lead in pursuing Small Modular Reactors for New Brunswick and played an active role in developing the SMR Roadmap for Canada.
Brett’s extensive background includes over 40 years’ experience in nuclear power Operations, Senior Leadership and Project Management roles.
Brett is a Past Chair and active member of the Chief Nuclear Officers Forum (CNOF), a COG Voting Member, and is a member of the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) Executive Advisory Group.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Business from New Hampshire College, as well as an Associate Science degree in Nuclear Engineering Technology from the University of New York. He attended the Naval Nuclear Power School and the Naval Electronics Technician School. Additionally, Brett has completed the INPO Senior Nuclear Plant Management Course.
