The CNSC also has a legislated mandate to disseminate objective and scientific information to the public.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Accomplishments in 2012<\/strong><br \/>\nIn 2012, the CNSC was busy as we finalized the Fukushima Task Force Action Plan, concluded negotiations on implementing arrangements to the Nuclear Cooperation Agreement with India, and conducted some significant hearings on Matoush, Point Lepreau, Port Hope and Darlington among others.\u00a0 There is still however, very important work ahead of us.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Looking Ahead<\/strong><br \/>\n2013 promises to be just as challenging and will be a busy year for the CNSC.
