Il s&#8217;est montr\u00e9 prometteur dans les utilisations exp\u00e9rimentales sur des patients atteints d&#8217;un cancer avanc\u00e9 pour tuer les cellules canc\u00e9reuses.<\/p>\n<p>Chaque ann\u00e9e, le monde entier en fabrique seulement une quantit\u00e9 \u00e9gale au poids de quelques grains de sable.<\/p>\n<p>Pendant des ann\u00e9es, le centre \u00e0 cyclotron TRIUMF de Vancouver a rejet\u00e9 d&#8217;importantes quantit\u00e9s d&#8217;Ac 225, inconscient de son potentiel.<\/p>\n<p>En vertu de ce partenariat, le faisceau de protons \u00e0 haute \u00e9nergie de TRIUMF sera utilis\u00e9 pour fabriquer l&#8217;isotope, tandis que les installations de production et de manipulation nucl\u00e9aires autoris\u00e9es des LNC traiteront le mat\u00e9riau.<\/p>\n<p>Le partenariat pourrait g\u00e9n\u00e9rer une augmentation de centaines de milliers de traitements au niveau mondial, selon Triumf.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Nous sommes ravis de nous associer aux LNC pour cette initiative importante qui a le potentiel de transformer la vie de ceux qui souffrent de cancers sans traitement\u00a0\u00bb a indiqu\u00e9 Kathryn Hayashi, pr\u00e9sidente-directrice g\u00e9n\u00e9rale de TRIUMF Innovations, l&#8217;organe de commercialisation du laboratoire, dans une <a href=\"https:\/\/globenewswire.com\/news-release\/2018\/09\/27\/1577288\/0\/en\/TRIUMF-and-CNL-to-Form-Strategic-Partnership-to-Enable-Ground-breaking-Cancer-Treatment.html\">d\u00e9claration<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Cette entente permettra \u00e0 TRIUMF de tirer parti d&#8217;un de nos principaux atouts, le cyclotron de 520\u00a0MeV, et nos scientifiques et ing\u00e9nieurs pourront produire cet isotope \u00e0 une \u00e9chelle augmentant les capacit\u00e9s de d\u00e9veloppement clinique. Ainsi, le traitement d&#8217;un large spectre de cancers que nous ne pouvons pas combattre efficacement \u00e0 l&#8217;aide des technologies actuelles devient possible.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Comptant plus d&#8217;un milliard de traitements m\u00e9dicaux effectu\u00e9s \u00e0 l&#8217;aide d&#8217;isotopes produits dans les laboratoires de Chalk River, les LNC sont un chef de file mondial de la m\u00e9decine nucl\u00e9aire depuis des d\u00e9cennies\u00a0\u00bb a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Mark Lesinski, pr\u00e9sident-directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral des LNC. \u00ab\u00a0Nous consid\u00e9rons cette entente avec TRIUMF comme une \u00e9volution naturelle de ce travail; elle exigera des comp\u00e9tences \u00e9prouv\u00e9es dans la fabrication cibl\u00e9e, la radiochimie, l&#8217;analyse radio-isotopique et la gestion des sous-produits nucl\u00e9aires et chimiques.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>En outre, les LNC et TRIUMF ont annonc\u00e9 r\u00e9cemment qu&#8217;ils organiseront conjointement le <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tat11.com\/\">11<sup>e<\/sup> Symposium sur l&#8217;alphath\u00e9rapie cibl\u00e9e (TAT11<\/a>), un forum mondial permettant aux chefs de file universitaires et de l&#8217;industrie de se rencontrer et de discuter des derniers d\u00e9veloppements techniques, r\u00e9glementaires et cliniques en mati\u00e8re de th\u00e9rapie radiopharmaceutique cibl\u00e9e.
