Bien qu\u2019il y ait encore quelques probl\u00e8mes d\u2019acc\u00e8s au site, il est possible de d\u00e9placer le personnel et les ressources vers et depuis le site. L\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 la centrale devrait s\u2019am\u00e9liorer au cours des prochains jours. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est la deuxi\u00e8me ann\u00e9e d\u2019affil\u00e9e que les centrales nucl\u00e9aires sont mises \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9preuve au sud des \u00c9tats-Unis pendant la saison des ouragans.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, les deux centrales nucl\u00e9aires de la Floride ont r\u00e9sist\u00e9 \u00e0 la fureur de l\u2019ouragan Irma. Les centrales nucl\u00e9aires de Turkey Point et de St. Lucie, qui desservent environ 1,5 million de clients, sont con\u00e7ues pour r\u00e9sister \u00e0 la force naturelle d\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nements extr\u00eames comme les ouragans. Les centrales nucl\u00e9aires de la Floride sont situ\u00e9es \u00e0 environ 6 m\u00e8tres au-dessus du niveau de la mer et sont construites pour r\u00e9sister \u00e0 de graves inondations et ondes de temp\u00eate. Des syst\u00e8mes de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 auxiliaires sont \u00e9galement en place pour assurer la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 du site.<\/p>\n<p>Les inqui\u00e9tudes concernant les centrales nucl\u00e9aires touch\u00e9es par les ouragans font de bonnes manchettes, mais gr\u00e2ce aux mesures de pr\u00e9vention, les probl\u00e8mes sont \u00e9vit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Ted Kury, directeur des \u00e9tudes sur l\u2019\u00e9nergie au Public Utility Research Center de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de la Floride, l\u2019a bien expliqu\u00e9 dans un article pour <a href=\"https:\/\/theconversation.com\/nuclear-reactors-in-hurricanes-5-questions-answered-103146\">The Conversation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Pour pr\u00e9venir les accidents, le mur ext\u00e9rieur des syst\u00e8mes de confinement des r\u00e9acteurs est fait de b\u00e9ton arm\u00e9 et d\u2019acier, \u00e9crit-il. Comme ils sont con\u00e7us pour r\u00e9sister au choc d\u2019un gros avion de ligne, les d\u00e9bris volants \u2013 m\u00eame s\u2019ils sont propuls\u00e9s par des vents de quelque 320\u00a0kilom\u00e8tres \u00e0 l\u2019heure \u2013 risquent tr\u00e8s peu de constituer une grande menace.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Selon M.
