Lors de la <a href=\"http:\/\/nouvelles.gc.ca\/web\/article-fr.do?nid=1155259&amp;_ga=1.145692916.1338546167.1482433065\">vingt-deuxi\u00e8me Conf\u00e9rence des Parties (COP22)<\/a>, l&#8217;honorable Catherine McKenna, ministre de l&#8217;Environnement et du Changement climatique, a annonc\u00e9 que le gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral investirait des milliards de dollars dans le verdissement du secteur \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique mondial, dans l&#8217;espoir d&#8217;atteindre les objectifs climatiques globaux.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Nous renouvelons notre soutien aux pays en d\u00e9veloppement (PED), dans le cadre de notre contribution historique de 2,65\u00a0milliards de dollars\u00a0\u00bb, a indiqu\u00e9 la ministre. \u00ab\u00a0Je suis heureuse d\u2019annoncer que le Canada investira pr\u00e8s de 1,8\u00a0milliard de dollars en vue d\u2019optimiser les investissements du secteur priv\u00e9 ax\u00e9s sur les solutions en mati\u00e8re d\u2019\u00e9nergie propre et renouvelable. Nos efforts contribueront \u00e0 r\u00e9duire les risques d\u2019investissement et \u00e0 stimuler les investissements priv\u00e9s dans les march\u00e9s \u00e9mergents.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-15151 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/cna.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/CanadaEnergy-1024x577.jpg\" alt=\"canadaenergy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"577\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cna.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/CanadaEnergy-1024x577.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/cna.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/CanadaEnergy-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cna.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/CanadaEnergy-768x433.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;annonce de la ministre survient en m\u00eame temps que le gouvernement du Canada (GC) publiait un rapport s&#8217;intitulant\u00a0: <a href=\"http:\/\/unfccc.int\/files\/focus\/long-term_strategies\/application\/pdf\/canadas_mid-century_long-term_strategy.pdf\">Strat\u00e9gie canadienne de d\u00e9veloppement \u00e0 faible \u00e9mission de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre \u00e0 long terme pour le milieu du si\u00e8cle<\/a>. Ce rapport, qui \u00e9nonce les hypoth\u00e8ses d&#8217;un avenir reposant sur des \u00e9nergies plus propres, met en relief le r\u00f4le qu&#8217;a jou\u00e9 le nucl\u00e9aire en contribuant au d\u00e9veloppement d&#8217;une fili\u00e8re \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique plus verte.<\/p>\n<p>On y explique que \u00ab\u00a0le Canada a d\u00e9j\u00e0 l\u2019un des r\u00e9seaux d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 les plus propres du monde, avec plus de 80\u00a0% de l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9e de sources qui ne produisent pas de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre comme les technologies hydro\u00e9lectrique, \u00e9olienne, solaire et nucl\u00e9aire\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>En fait, l&#8217;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire propre assure pr\u00e8s des deux tiers de la production d&#8217;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 en Ontario. En 2016, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.opg.com\/Pages\/home.aspx\">Ontario Power Generation (OPG)<\/a> et <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brucepower.com\/\">Bruce Power<\/a> ont annonc\u00e9 un partenariat entre les secteurs public et priv\u00e9, visant \u00e0 maintenir cette relation gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la r\u00e9fection des r\u00e9acteurs nucl\u00e9aires de la province. Cet investissement pluriannuel permettra de satisfaire aux besoins \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques de l&#8217;Ontario de fa\u00e7on durable, tout en contribuant \u00e0 g\u00e9n\u00e9rer des millions de dollars en emplois et en investissements dans la plus grande province du Canada.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0La r\u00e9fection de la centrale Darlington permettra de s&#8217;assurer que le nucl\u00e9aire sans \u00e9missions continuera d&#8217;\u00eatre la principale source d&#8217;\u00e9nergie de l&#8217;Ontario. Cette r\u00e9fection continuera de stimuler l&#8217;activit\u00e9 \u00e9conomique en Ontario ainsi que la cr\u00e9ation d&#8217;emplois, et elle permettra d&#8217;assurer un approvisionnement fiable en \u00e9lectricit\u00e9 propre pour l&#8217;avenir\u00a0\u00bb, pr\u00e9cise l\u2019honorable Glenn Thibeault, ministre de l&#8217;\u00c9nergie de l&#8217;Ontario.<\/p>\n<p>La d\u00e9carbonisation de la fili\u00e8re \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique est un axe de recherche auquel le professeur Andrew Rowe de l&#8217;Universit\u00e9 de Victoria (Uvic) et ses coll\u00e8gues se sont int\u00e9ress\u00e9s. Andrew Rowe est chef du <a href=\"http:\/\/pics.uvic.ca\/2060-project-integrated-energy-pathways-british-columbia-and-canada\">Projet\u00a02060\u00a0: des fili\u00e8res \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques int\u00e9gr\u00e9es pour la Colombie-Britannique et le Canada<\/a>. Ce projet s&#8217;int\u00e9resse \u00e0 la fa\u00e7on dont le Canada et l&#8217;Am\u00e9rique du Nord peuvent harmoniser leurs r\u00e9seaux de distribution d&#8217;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9, afin de r\u00e9duire les \u00e9missions de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre (GES). Neutre \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9gard des technologies, le projet\u00a02060 vise \u00e0 examiner diverses pistes de solution permettant de b\u00e2tir un avenir reposant sur des \u00e9nergies \u00e0 faible intensit\u00e9 carbonique.<\/p>\n<p>Selon un rapport r\u00e9cent, le nucl\u00e9aire figure au nombre des solutions viables sur le plan \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique pour compenser la non-fiabilit\u00e9 des \u00e9nergies renouvelables. Dans le cadre du <a href=\"https:\/\/onlineacademiccommunity.uvic.ca\/2060project\/2016\/10\/17\/why-nuclear-future-emissions-risk-in-electricity-systems\/\">projet\u00a02060<\/a>, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 signal\u00e9 qu&#8217;un r\u00e9seau de distribution \u00e9lectrique aliment\u00e9 en \u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire, en 2050, posait moins de risques, \u00e9tait plus \u00e9conomique et produisait moins d&#8217;\u00e9missions. \u00ab\u00a0Int\u00e9grer le nucl\u00e9aire \u00e0 l&#8217;ensemble des solutions disponibles pour la production d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9, en vue de remplacer le charbon, pourrait permettre d&#8217;effectuer le passage \u00e0 la production d&#8217;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 \u00e0 faible intensit\u00e9 carbonique, en ayant moins d&#8217;incidence sur le climat globalement, en r\u00e9duisant le risque de d\u00e9passement des \u00e9missions, et ce, \u00e0 un co\u00fbt moindre.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Cette opinion a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 exprim\u00e9e par le gouvernement du Canada dans un rapport provisoire faisant \u00e9tat de la fiabilit\u00e9, des co\u00fbts et des avantages que pr\u00e9sente l&#8217;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire, et soulignant l&#8217;importance que rev\u00eat l&#8217;industrie nucl\u00e9aire canadienne aujourd&#8217;hui comme demain.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La discussion entourant l&#8217;atteinte des objectifs climatiques \u00e9nonc\u00e9s \u00e0 Paris, dont celui visant \u00e0 limiter la hausse des temp\u00e9ratures \u00e0 1,5\u00a0\u00b0C, a de nouveau trouv\u00e9 un \u00e9cho au Maroc cette ann\u00e9e.
