{"id":13633,"date":"2016-06-20T12:52:33","date_gmt":"2016-06-20T16:52:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cna.ca\/fr\/?post_type=news&#038;p=13633"},"modified":"2020-03-10T13:55:06","modified_gmt":"2020-03-10T17:55:06","slug":"traiter-leau-grace-au-nucleaire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cna.ca\/fr\/2016\/06\/20\/traiter-leau-grace-au-nucleaire\/","title":{"rendered":"Traiter l&#8217;eau gr\u00e2ce au&nbsp;nucl\u00e9aire"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>novembre 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Un fait alarmant\u00a0: en 10 ann\u00e9es \u00e0 peine, la croissance de notre population et l&#8217;intensification du d\u00e9veloppement industriel feront que <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iaea.org\/OurWork\/ST\/NE\/Downloads\/NETCFactSheets\/ne_tc_fs_06.pdf\">pr\u00e8s des deux tiers de la population mondiale n&#8217;aura pas acc\u00e8s \u00e0 une eau saine.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-13629 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/cna.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/drinkwater-mobile.png\" alt=\"drinkwater-mobile\" width=\"500\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cna.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/drinkwater-mobile.png 500w, https:\/\/cna.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/drinkwater-mobile-300x120.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;eau de notre plan\u00e8te se trouve presqu&#8217;en totalit\u00e9 \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/oceanservice.noaa.gov\/facts\/oceanwater.html\">soit 96 pour cent<\/a> \u2013 dans les oc\u00e9ans qui renferment du sel. Cependant, l&#8217;homme a besoin d&#8217;eau douce qui doit contenir moins de <a href=\"http:\/\/water.usgs.gov\/edu\/drinkseawater.html\">1\u00a0000 parts par million de sels dissouts dans un pour cent de son poids.<\/a> L&#8217;eau des oc\u00e9ans en renferme presque 35\u00a0000 ppm.<\/p>\n<p>Le dessalement \u00e9limine le sel de l&#8217;eau par la chaleur \u2013 et beaucoup de chaleur! Si celle-ci est produite \u00e0 partir de combustibles fossiles, le processus contribue au changement climatique, la raison en \u00e9tant que tous les combustibles fossiles \u2013 p\u00e9trole, gaz naturel ou charbon \u2013 lib\u00e8rent des gaz \u00e0 effet de serre dans l&#8217;atmosph\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<p>On ne peut trop insister sur le besoin d&#8217;une eau propre et accessible. Un rapport alarmant r\u00e9cent de l&#8217;OMS constate que la p\u00e9nurie d&#8217;eau touche une personne sur trois. Ce chiffre aurait \u00e9t\u00e9 plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 si les usines de dessalement n&#8217;existaient pas. L&#8217;eau propre que consomment presqu&#8217;un quart de million de personnes est produite par dessalement. L\u2019Isra\u00ebl re\u00e7oit presque la moiti\u00e9 de son eau de ses usines de dessalement, alors que le Japon compte un parc constitu\u00e9 de 10 centres de dessalement qui lui fournissent de l&#8217;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 et de l&#8217;eau potable.<\/p>\n<p>Les centrales nucl\u00e9aires suscitent l&#8217;int\u00e9r\u00eat des pays aux prises avec une p\u00e9nurie d&#8217;eau douce, en raison des avantages qu&#8217;elles procurent sur le plan environnemental. D&#8217;apr\u00e8s le Dr. Ibrahim Khamis, ing\u00e9nieur nucl\u00e9aire principal \u00e0 l&#8217;IAEA, \u00ab\u00a0une centre nucl\u00e9aire ressemble \u00e0 n&#8217;importe quelle source de chaleur. D\u00e8s que vous mettez le r\u00e9acteur en marche, le co\u00fbt du combustible chute de fa\u00e7on drastique et lib\u00e8re \u00e9norm\u00e9ment d&#8217;\u00e9nergie.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Les centrales nucl\u00e9aires produisent \u00e9norm\u00e9ment de chaleur qui entra\u00eene des turbines \u00e0 vapeur pour ainsi produire de l&#8217;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9. Elles peuvent utiliser la chaleur r\u00e9siduelle pour faire bouillir l&#8217;eau des oc\u00e9ans. Lorsque la vapeur se condense, il en r\u00e9sulte une eau pure et propre, d\u00e9barrass\u00e9e de son sel qu&#8217;on peut retourner dans l&#8217;oc\u00e9an.<\/p>\n<p>Le Dr. Khamis d\u00e9clare que le recours \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire pour dessaler l&#8217;eau procure des avantages sur les plans de l&#8217;\u00e9conomie et de l&#8217;environnement en fusionnant deux projets pour en faire un seul. D&#8217;apr\u00e8s lui\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0plut\u00f4t que d&#8217;avoir une usine de dessalement dans un endroit et une centrale \u00e9lectrique dans un autre, chacune consommant de l&#8217;eau, il est possible de les r\u00e9unir pour ainsi r\u00e9duire l&#8217;impact environnemental et r\u00e9aliser un projet plus \u00e9cologique en proc\u00e9dant au dessalement par le nucl\u00e9aire.\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>D&#8217;apr\u00e8s l&#8217;Association nucl\u00e9aire mondiale,<strong> \u00ab\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/world-nuclear.org\/info\/Non-Power-Nuclear-Applications\/Industry\/Nuclear-Desalination\/\"><strong>plus de 150 ann\u00e9es d\u2019exploitation de r\u00e9acteurs, principalement au Kazakhstan, en Inde et au Japon,<\/strong> <strong>ont d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que les usines de dessalement nucl\u00e9aire int\u00e9gr\u00e9es sont une solution viable.\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s des d\u00e9cennies de recherche, l&#8217;Inde a mis sur pied son Nuclear Desalination Demonstration Project, qui est le plus important en son genre.<\/p>\n<p>Le recours \u00e0 la technologie nucl\u00e9aire afin de procurer une eau potable salubre et propre n&#8217;a rien de nouveau. L&#8217;arm\u00e9e am\u00e9ricaine se sert des r\u00e9acteurs nucl\u00e9aires de ses sous-marins et ses porte-avions afin de procurer de l&#8217;eau potable au personnel de ces navires.<\/p>\n<p>Alors que la demande d&#8217;eau mondiale est en hausse, la technologie nucl\u00e9aire pourrait apporter la solution au probl\u00e8me que pr\u00e9sentent les r\u00e9serves mondiales limit\u00e9es d&#8217;eau douce, assurant ainsi la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et la prosp\u00e9rit\u00e9 des pays qui en ont besoin.
