{"id":12749,"date":"2016-02-17T13:18:38","date_gmt":"2016-02-17T18:18:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cna.ca\/?post_type=news&#038;p=12749"},"modified":"2020-03-10T13:55:08","modified_gmt":"2020-03-10T17:55:08","slug":"lenergie-nucleaire-et-le-changement-climatique","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cna.ca\/fr\/2016\/02\/17\/lenergie-nucleaire-et-le-changement-climatique\/","title":{"rendered":"L&#8217;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire et le changement&nbsp;climatique"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Les scientifiques de l&#8217;environnement n&#8217;y vont pas par quatre chemins: Le monde doit \u00e9liminer pratiquement toutes les \u00e9missions de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre (GES) d&#8217;ici 2100 pour limiter le r\u00e9chauffement en surface \u00e0 deux degr\u00e9s de plus que les niveaux d&#8217;avant l&#8217;\u00e8re industrielle.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-12962 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cna.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/ClimateSUN-home-mobile-sized.jpg\" alt=\"ClimateSUN-home-mobile-sized\" width=\"500\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cna.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/ClimateSUN-home-mobile-sized.jpg 500w, https:\/\/cna.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/ClimateSUN-home-mobile-sized-300x120.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Comment y parviendra-t-on et de quelle fa\u00e7on l&#8217;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire peut-elle nous aider?<\/p>\n<p>D&#8217;apr\u00e8s l&#8217;Agence internationale de l&#8217;\u00e9nergie (AIE), le monde doit freiner avant tout le rythme de croissance des \u00e9missions de GES pour ensuite r\u00e9duire les \u00e9missions de fa\u00e7on dramatique.<\/p>\n<p>Pour freiner la croissance des \u00e9missions d&#8217;ici 2020, l&#8217;AIE recommande cinq mesures\u00a0:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Accro\u00eetre l&#8217;efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique dans les secteurs de l&#8217;industrie, des immeubles et des transports.<\/li>\n<li>R\u00e9duire le recours aux centrales thermiques aliment\u00e9es au charbon qui sont les moins efficaces, et interdire la cr\u00e9ation de nouvelles centrales au charbon.<\/li>\n<li>Accro\u00eetre les sommes que le secteur de l&#8217;\u00e9nergie investit dans les \u00e9nergies renouvelables.<\/li>\n<li>\u00c9liminer graduellement les subventions destin\u00e9es \u00e0 la plupart des utilisateurs finaux de combustibles fossiles d&#8217;ici 2030.<\/li>\n<li>R\u00e9duire les \u00e9missions de m\u00e9thane attribuables \u00e0 la production de p\u00e9trole et de gaz naturel.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Pas d&#8217;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire? Non, parce qu\u2019il peut falloir dix ans pour construire et d\u00e9marrer une centrale nucl\u00e9aire, alors que le plafond de l&#8217;AIE repose sur un plan d&#8217;une dur\u00e9e de cinq ans.<\/p>\n<p>Cependant, l&#8217;AIE fait de l&#8217;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire la pierre angulaire de son approche de r\u00e9duction des GES assortie de l&#8217;objectif de deux degr\u00e9s\u00a0: Le monde devrait doubler sa production d&#8217;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 \u00e0 partir de l&#8217;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire d&#8217;ici 2040, tout en investissant massivement dans l&#8217;\u00e9nergie renouvelable, ainsi que dans le captage et le stockage du carbone.<\/p>\n<p>Ces trois mesures permettraient de r\u00e9aliser pr\u00e8s des deux tiers des coupures de GES n\u00e9cessaires d&#8217;ici 2040 en plus de placer le monde sur la voie menant \u00e0 l&#8217;objectif de deux degr\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Il est int\u00e9ressant de pr\u00e9ciser que les activit\u00e9s de captage et de stockage du carbone entra\u00eeneraient pr\u00e8s de 46 pour cent des coupures, mais \u00e0 peine cinq pour cent dans le cas des \u00e9nergies renouvelables. Quant au nucl\u00e9aire, il permettrait de r\u00e9aliser 11 pour cent des coupures \u2013 soit deux fois plus que les \u00e9nergies renouvelables.<\/p>\n<p>Est-ce possible? Cette augmentation qu&#8217;on propose au niveau de la capacit\u00e9 nucl\u00e9aire est-elle un tant soit peu r\u00e9alisable?<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;histoire de la construction des centrales nucl\u00e9aires nous porte \u00e0 croire qu&#8217;une augmentation aussi ambitieuse de la capacit\u00e9 est plausible. Comme le pr\u00e9cise l&#8217;Agence internationale de l&#8217;\u00e9nergie atomique (AIEA), le parc nucl\u00e9aire \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9chelle mondiale s&#8217;est accru au quintuple entre 1970 et 1990, alors qu&#8217;on a multipli\u00e9 sa capacit\u00e9 par vingt. Un tel taux de croissance est bien plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 que ce que l&#8217;AIE demande dans son plan de deux degr\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire a suscit\u00e9 quelques commentaires lors de la pr\u00e9paration des pourparlers sur le climat de la CDP21 qui auront lieu \u00e0 Paris. Cependant, sa capacit\u00e9 de contribuer \u00e0 r\u00e9soudre le probl\u00e8me du changement climatique est \u00e9vidente.<\/p>\n<p>En r\u00e9sum\u00e9, si le monde souhaite s&#8217;attaquer vraiment \u00e0 la question du changement climatique, le temps est venu de se pencher s\u00e9rieusement sur l&#8217;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire.<\/p>\n<table class=\"ghg-tables table-first\"
