Au rang de ses innovations figurent la possibilit\u00e9 de poursuivre les op\u00e9rations pendant le rechargement, ainsi que l\u2019utilisation d\u2019uranium naturel \u2013&nbsp;\u00e9vitant ainsi la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d\u2019un enrichissement co\u00fbteux. Les r\u00e9acteurs CANDU les plus r\u00e9cents peuvent \u00e9galement utiliser du thorium et recycler le combustible.<\/li><li>Les r\u00e9acteurs CANDU jouissent d\u2019un bilan enviable en mati\u00e8re de s\u00fbret\u00e9, le r\u00e9acteur CANDU de d\u00e9monstration \u00e0 Douglas Point, en Ontario, \u00e9tant le premier o\u00f9 a eu lieu une r\u00e9action contr\u00f4l\u00e9e par ordinateur, une pratique devenue d\u00e9sormais courante dans le monde entier.<\/li><li>Le Canada a export\u00e9 des r\u00e9acteurs CANDU en Argentine, en Chine, en Inde, au Pakistan, en Roumanie et en Cor\u00e9e du Sud. Il y a 30&nbsp;r\u00e9acteurs CANDU en service dans le monde. Argentina 1, Canada 19, \" class=\"wp-image-26709\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cna.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/CANDU-glbally-1024x414.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/cna.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/CANDU-glbally-500x202.jpg 500w, https:\/\/cna.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/CANDU-glbally-768x311.jpg 768w, https:\/\/cna.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/CANDU-glbally.jpg 1253w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Les isotopes m\u00e9dicaux<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Canada assure environ la moiti\u00e9 de l\u2019approvisionnement mondial en <a class=\"rank-math-link\" href=\"https:\/\/cna.ca\/wp-admin\/post.php?post=27358&amp;action=edit#IM\">isotopes m\u00e9dicaux.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/fiveyearplan.triumf.ca\/teams-tools\/iami-institute-for-advanced-medical-isotopes\/\">L\u2019Institut des isotopes m\u00e9dicaux avanc\u00e9s<\/a> du centre TRIUMF de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Colombie-Britannique m\u00e8nera des recherches sur la prochaine g\u00e9n\u00e9ration d\u2019isotopes m\u00e9dicaux.<\/li><li>\u00c9galement bas\u00e9 en Colombie-Britannique, <a href=\"https:\/\/generalfusion.com\/\">General Fusion<\/a> est un des principaux partisans de la course \u00e0 la recherche d\u2019une r\u00e9action de fusion durable, laquelle pourrait constituer la \u00ab&nbsp;solution miracle&nbsp;\u00bb pour la production d\u2019\u00e9nergie \u00e9lectrique au XXI<sup>\u00e8me<\/sup>&nbsp;si\u00e8cle.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Les petits r\u00e9acteurs modulaires<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>La <a href=\"https:\/\/nuclearsafety.gc.ca\/fra\/index.cfm\" class=\"rank-math-link\">Commission canadienne de s\u00fbret\u00e9 nucl\u00e9aire<\/a> examine actuellement plusieurs conceptions canadiennes de petits r\u00e9acteurs modulaires (PRM) qui pourraient aider le Canada \u00e0 \u00eatre concurrentiel dans de nouveaux domaines du march\u00e9 de l\u2019\u00e9nergie \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger \u2013 notamment les applications hors r\u00e9seau, industrielles et \u00e0 distance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Une estimation prudente du potentiel d\u2019exportation mondial des PRM est de 150&nbsp;milliards de dollars par ann\u00e9e entre 2030 et 2040. Il s\u2019agit notamment des applications pour la production d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9, pour les sites miniers \u00e9loign\u00e9s, pour les nations insulaires et pour les collectivit\u00e9s hors r\u00e9seau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le march\u00e9 mondial pourrait \u00eatre beaucoup plus important si les pays adoptaient les PRM dans le cadre de leur lutte contre le changement climatique en r\u00e9duisant ou en \u00e9liminant l\u2019utilisation des combustibles fossiles dans la production d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Avantages \u00e9conomiques<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Fort de ses abondantes r\u00e9serves d\u2019uranium et de son bassin exceptionnel de professionnels qualifi\u00e9s, le Canada est dot\u00e9 d\u2019une industrie nucl\u00e9aire dynamique, lui procurant plusieurs avantages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Le Canada <a href=\"https:\/\/cna.ca\/fr\/les-avantages\/exportations\/\" class=\"rank-math-link\">exporte<\/a> environ 85&nbsp;% de l\u2019uranium extrait dans le pays.<\/li><li>L\u2019industrie nucl\u00e9aire cr\u00e9e environ <a href=\"https:\/\/cna.ca\/fr\/les-avantages\/jobs-and-the-economy\/\" class=\"rank-math-link\">76&nbsp;000&nbsp;emplois<\/a>, y compris des employ\u00e9s et des entrepreneurs.<\/li><li>L\u2019industrie contribue pour environ 1,5 milliard de dollars en imp\u00f4ts f\u00e9d\u00e9raux et provinciaux.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Le fait d\u2019\u00eatre un chef de file en mati\u00e8re d\u2019\u00e9conomie et d\u2019innovation fait \u00e9galement du Canada un pr\u00e9cieux partenaire parmi les pays qui utilisent l\u2019\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire.
