{"id":27255,"date":"2020-07-23T16:44:47","date_gmt":"2020-07-23T20:44:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cna.flywheelsites.com\/medecine-nucleaire\/radiation-therapy\/"},"modified":"2020-09-01T10:46:05","modified_gmt":"2020-09-01T14:46:05","slug":"radiotherapie","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/cna.ca\/fr\/medecine-nucleaire\/radiotherapie\/","title":{"rendered":"Radioth\u00e9rapie"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Les cellules canc\u00e9reuses sont plus sensibles aux rayonnements parce qu\u2019elles se d\u00e9veloppent et se reproduisent plus vite que les cellules normales (ce qui d\u00e9finit le cancer, une croissance incontr\u00f4l\u00e9e). \u00c9tant donn\u00e9 que les cellules canc\u00e9reuses se d\u00e9veloppent tr\u00e8s rapidement, il est possible de leur administrer une dose de rayonnement mortelle tout en \u00e9pargnant le tissu sain voisin. De plus, les cellules canc\u00e9reuses poss\u00e8dent souvent des m\u00e9canismes de r\u00e9paration inefficaces, de sorte que des dommages caus\u00e9s par les rayonnements dont une cellule normale se r\u00e9tablirait habituellement d\u00e9truiront souvent une cellule canc\u00e9reuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La radioth\u00e9rapie utilise les rayonnements pour d\u00e9truire les cellules canc\u00e9reuses.&nbsp; Il en existe trois techniques principales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>La radioth\u00e9rapie par faisceau externe utilise une source de rayonnement intense (tel que le <a href=\"https:\/\/cna.ca\/fr\/medecine-nucleaire\/isotopes-medicaux\/\" class=\"rank-math-link\">cobalt\u00a060<\/a> ou une machine appel\u00e9e acc\u00e9l\u00e9rateur lin\u00e9aire) pour irradier \u00e0 fortes doses la tumeur depuis l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur. La dose de rayonnement, \u00e9mise sous de nombreux angles, est soigneusement adapt\u00e9e au contour du tissu cibl\u00e9, limitant le rayonnement aux tissus sains. En 1951, Sylvia Fedoruk, Harold E. Johns et Roy Errington ont \u00e9t\u00e9 les premiers \u00e0 utiliser le cobalt\u00a060 pour la radioth\u00e9rapie.<\/li><li>Les injections de <a href=\"https:\/\/cna.ca\/fr\/medecine-nucleaire\/isotopes-medicaux\/\" class=\"rank-math-link\">l\u2019iode\u00a0131<\/a> qui se concentre naturellement dans la glande thyro\u00efde de la m\u00eame mani\u00e8re que le sel iod\u00e9 ne sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement utilis\u00e9es que pour traiter les cancers ou d\u2019autres affections de la thyro\u00efde.<\/li><li>L\u2019implantation (\u00e9galement appel\u00e9e curieth\u00e9rapie) consiste \u00e0 introduire par voie chirurgicale des sources radioactives dans le corps. Il est possible de r\u00e9aliser provisoirement cet acte en administrant par cath\u00e9ter plusieurs traitements sur une p\u00e9riode de quelques heures ou de jours ou de fa\u00e7on permanente en laissant les sources radioactives d\u00e9cro\u00eetre naturellement dans la tumeur.
